- Appearance and Taste
- The nut is medium to large, elongated, with a thin shell and a full, tasty kernel that separates easily. The kernel has a pleasant, mild, and sweet taste, appreciated both fresh and dried.
- Harvest Season
- Fruits ripen from late August to early September. Harvesting is done when the nut falls from the husk.
- Suitable Soil
- Thrives best in well-drained, fertile soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Does not tolerate water retention.
