Meeker
Meeker is one of the most well-known and widespread summer raspberry varieties, originating from the USA. It is valued for its high yield, large fruits, and excellent balance between sweetness and acidity. Suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and industrial processing, especially for juice and jam production. With moderate growing requirements, it reliably bears fruit even in mountainous areas.

- Appearance and Taste
- Fruits are large, bright red, and uniform. The flesh is juicy, slightly grainy, with a pronounced raspberry aroma. The taste is sweet and tangy, very refreshing. Suitable for fresh consumption as well as for long-term freezing without quality loss.
- Harvest Season
- Ripens in mid-June and is harvested over a period of 3–4 weeks. The fruits detach easily from the stem, which facilitates both manual and mechanical harvesting.
- Suitable Soil
- Performs best in slightly acidic, fertile, well-drained soils. Prefers a moderate climate but tolerates lower temperatures. Requires good sun exposure and air circulation due to its sensitivity to rotting in humid conditions.
